About Me
A proud native of New York City, Terry Nelson began his career in film & television post-production in 1989. His job duties included videotape operator, administrator, editor, and voice actor. He remains involved in the world of voice acting and accepts voice-over assignments from time to time. Terry established the Beacon Independent Film Festival in 2013, which enjoyed a successful run culminating in its final event in 2019.
In addition to his freelance copywriting work, he has also been a writer and contributor to the music website Albumism since 2015. In 2017, Terry was elected to the City Council of Beacon, NY, and served two terms until 2021. Currently, he is putting the finishing touches on his first novel, How Did I Get Here. Terry Nelson fun fact: Renowned chef Bobby Flay was a classmate of Terry’s in 2nd and 3rd grade.
